Almost Angels, I wanted to say Vivian has been working for me for a long time and she is always so happy with what she is doing for me and she is also dependable. We both get along very well and I could not be happier!

Almost Angels was a referral from Journey Hospice. Annette was amazing. My mother-in-law entered hospice quickly and we were able to have a quality professional staff person the night we called. They were true angels to help our family with the end of my mother-in-law’s life. I do not know how we would have made it without them. They were so calm, caring, nurturing, trustworthy, and professional. Although we only used the service for the 5 days before my mother-in-law’s death, it felt like we knew the caregivers forever. A special shout out to Michael at night and Tess during the day. Tess knew my mother in law felt uncomfortable in her nightgown and came the next day with a hand sewed top for her to put on. Dear Almost Angels, I am writing to express the deepest appreciation for the care provided by caregiver Maribeth for my mother who was under home hospice care. Maribeth rendered extraordinary service during the months she cared for my mother and lived in our home. My mother developed an immediate trust and bond with Maribeth and said quite early in her illness that she wanted Maribeth there when she passed. With the comfort and ease Maribeth was able to create in our home, my mother chose to not be hospitalized under any circumstance. She knew it could not be better than the situation we had at home with Maribeth by her side. My mother enjoyed extraordinary quality of life during her months with illness. With Maribeth’s assistance, she dressed each day in her favorite clothes. They did her makeup together, and Maribeth supported her through many trips to restaurants, movies, and other occasions out of the house. Maribeth cared for my father as well, cooking his favorite meals and always anticipating what would be needed during days at home or trips away. Her expert level of care gave him confidence and eased his burdens. At many times during Maribeth’s stay with us, our family expressed wonder, appreciation and gratitude for her skills and presence. We knew we had hit the home caregiver jackpot and could not have been luckier. Now, months after my mother’s passing, when our family discusses the final months we had together we always remark on the extraordinary quality of life she was able to enjoy, and we always end up discussing Maribeth as part of what made that time so incredible. As a Physician, and also as a member of the teaching facility of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, I have some experience with all levels of patient care and the training and qualities that makes patient care excellent. Maribeth has excellent training and is full of the very best qualities that produce care, comfort and condence.

I wish to comment on the outstanding care that Florida gave my sister. Florida was compassionate and caring. We, the family grew to love her as a member of our family. How can the two simple words thank you, express the gratitude that we have for you all? You provided our father with two male nurses. They took such wonderful care of him. He was able to enjoy his favorite foods prepared carefully and served with a smile. He was surrounded by their laughter and singing while resting in his clean, cozy bed in his own home. They were ever cheerful as they took care of his health needs, personal needs and countless other requests for nearly a year and a half. Dad passed peacefully and we were in need of another angel to take care of our mother. You sent us a special one. For almost two years she cared for our mother as she would her own. She became family. We miss our visits with Mom and her caregiver. I have already recommended your company to a colleague who was very grateful.

During the last two months of my beloved mother's life Almost Angels provided her with a caregiver. I entrusted her care to Helen. Such trust was fully justified. I can tell you that Helen "goes above and beyond the call of duty", but here is what you really need to know. if you employ Helen to care for someone you love, your loved one will receive the same level of care you, yourself, would provide 24/7 were you able to. I can think of no higher recommendation than that.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Homeward Bound for the wonderful care you provided my Mother. Rose, who you assigned to her, became like a family member and her care and understanding of the challenges that my Mother faced made our family feel confident that all was well and my Mother's comfort and needs were always taken care of. My family and myself would like to thank you for the great service you and your team provided. The first caregiver you sent us was very good, but due to a family situtation she had to leave. There were two temporary ladies who were also very good, but it wasn't until Mrs. Fowler (Gigi) came that you hit a grand slam. Gigi was extremely professional, but then quickly became part of the family, and gave my Aunt Josephine the care and love a family member would give. Once again, thank you very much.

Almost Angels took care of my mother in her most dire hours. They were called and responded with wonderful help at once, within hours. My mother, 95 was suddenly taken mortally ill. She took to her bed and passed away in a bit over three weeks. The people Almost Angels sent were wonderful. The specific person who was there almost from start to end was magnificent. What she did in the way of care, professionalism, and comfort was the most a caring surviving son could hope to have for a parent. I am naming my mother's caregiver. It is "Gigi”. And to her I owe much. But all the staff of Almost Angels was professional, warm, concerned, and easy to work with. The prices were modest for the care rendered. Personally, I am intensely grateful and have offered my name and words for this web-site, something of a first.

I wanted to let you know how wonderful I think your company is. I was referred on Easter Sunday, but you still gave me all the time I needed. My mother Bernice wanted to go home from the hospital even though she was given only a few days to live. All the caregivers you sent were very good, but especially the day shift worker, Bernadette – she was absolutely incredible! It was almost as if she brought a spiritual essence with her when she entered the room. Sometimes Bernadette would even sing to my mother while bathing her and turning her in bed. I wish to express my appreciation for the diligent care, which was administered to my mom Dorothy, over the past years through your agency. Especially I wish to commend my mother’s caregiver Asela. She was my mother’s companion and caregiver until her passing. My mother became bedridden and suffered a severe physical and mental decline until her death. The family could not have asked for a more attentive, qualified, devoted companion and caregiver than Asela. She kept meticulous and thorough daily records. She was as knowledgeable, or more, than a certified nurses assistant, extremely skilled in operating the necessary Hoyer Lift, nebulizer, hospital bed and all medical care. Asela was prayerful, conscientious, dedicated, loving, caring, and most attentive to my mothers every need. She became like a member of our family and treated my sweet mother better than one could have treated their own mother. She was truly a real live Angel.

On September 24, 2004 you introduced me to Charles; you said “I have a wonderful man ready for work” And, oh how true that was! But Annette, how can I find the right words to thank you?
